Officer dies in off duty wreck

Officer Teddy Jackson, of the Columbus GA Police Department, was killed in an off duty accident when a car failed to yeild at a stop sign and collided with Jackson, who was traveling on Wynnton road on his motorcyle. The car driven by Tammy Bryson was attempting to make a left turn from Wildwood Ave onto Wynnton Road when she pulled out in front of Jackson.

The collision knocked Jackson some 50ft into the air, killing him instantly. Bryson is charged with failure to yeild, and Vehiclular Homicide.

Jackson was a seven year veteran, who had recently been promoted to Narcotic Division.

This is extremely sad. I pray for his family, and the family of Miss Bryson.
