I play guitar myself though finding the time the last few years has been hard. I like all the ones mentioned and 10 years ago had November Rain nailed (probably couldn't do it at all now). My favorite by Styx, the song Suite Madame Blue has a wonderful guitar solo. If you want sheer rock musical brilliance it's hard to beat Kansas, (though Rush comes close) there is just so much there to savor in all their early (pre-1985) albums. "Incomudro-Hymn to the Atman" from their Song For America album has a wonderful drum solo as well as a great guitar solo that still brings a smile to my face even now.

The guitar rift halfway through Stevie Ray Vaughan's "Pride and Joy"
The guitar lead-in to Dire Straits "Money for Nothing". Mark Knofler was one of the best guitar players ever.
The guitar lick midway through The Stray Cats "Rock This Town". Brian Setzer was another great one. Just pickin':
Anything from B.B. King. Largely self-taught, he is probably the very best guitar player who ever lived. That man could make an electric guitar SING. He talks about how he does it (long, but worth it):

Coincidentally, my favorite song of all time is from GnFnR - the monster hit "Sweet Child o' Mine". The intro guitar lick is (to me) the most immediately recognizable intro ever. 8 notes and you KNOW what's coming next...

Thanks for the Zak/Slash video Outshined, that's one I've never seen. Though I wish Slash would have been the same volume as Zak, it was still a good jam.

Interesting thread. This is my favorite song from a blues guitarist called Roy Buchanan. He makes his guitar sound so plaintive, sounds like it's crying. I discovered this a few years ago when I inherited all my older sister's vinyl records.
