My grandfather, who would be 97 this year, always told me he knew a guy named this, and he pronounced it that way too.

I know there's a "Sgt. Slaughter" on the board here, and I believe there was a wrestler by that name also? But I actually knew a Marine Sergeant when I was a Drill Instructor named "Slaughter"!! Imagine how his recruits loved that!!

There's a woman that was featured in the local paper a couple years ago named "Marijuana Pepsi Sawyer". Even MSNBC picked it up. There's a bunch of good names in that article:

Marijuana Pepsi will see you now - TODAY People - TODAYshow.com

The clerks in the local DA's office made a list of odd-ball, but legal, given names of people they dealt with. Last I heard, it was three legal size pages, double column. Included:

    Rotation Slim Sr.
    Rotation Slim Jr.
    Almighty God Jehovah
    "Female" (pronounced Fah-Molly)
    Snoopy Smith
Supreme Solar Allah and his brothers, Self Wise Allah and Universal Knowledge Allah.
(Supreme Solar worked as an operative for the John Kerry political campaign, and was busted a few years ago slashing tires of GOP vehicles)

Wife's got a 2nd cousin ~ Rose Lamb (Lamb being her married name)

I played sport with several boys of the Ennis family, one was Peter. The sport sheet listed him as P. Ennis.

I booked an Asian bloke called Ah Suk Cok who lived in Camp Rd . . . It was a great chuckle doing a licence check on him and hearing the operator reading it out then having 5-10 seconds silence when they twigged what just happened.
