This one is good guy with gun wins. Another was gang banger trying to crash a neighborhood party. 9 gang members tried to steal keg after the homeowner went to shut the party down. They beat the homeowner which he basically took lying down. Then they threatened him with a gun. Once they did that, he pulled out his own pistol and shot and killed two of them. Police ruled it justified and charged the other seven with felony murder.

There were two other home invasions where the victims did not have guns. One was pregnant woman shot in the head when she came out of the bedroom after she though the robbers had left. The other was an elderly couple shot after armed robbery subjects fled police and ran into a home. Contrary to the Brady Campaign, criminal will shoot you if you are unarmed. Unimaginable low-lifes in all the scenarios.

The second one was the "damned if you do, damned if you don't" police pursuit policy. Phoenix PD was pursuing the late night armed robbery suspects when the pursuit was called off for excessive/dangerous speed. Bad guys crashed into light pole despite that. Then they ran into the nearest house and shot the couple, one fatally. I feel sorry for the supervisor that has to make that call because some low-lifes care nothing about who they kill.

I suspect the burglaries are going to drop for a little while in Arizona City and some cold cases are going to be reopened now that we know about these two.

Naw, the grandpa being a victim of two punk *** criminals breaking into a residential structure containing grandpa and two little ones and then protectiing himself and the two little ones by shooting the punk *** criminals is not a heated topic.

Of course, I am basing this on the fact that the only V word I thought about when this happened was Victim.

Oddly enough, there's an article into today's Portland Pravda saying that property crimes have dropped over 10% from 2008 to 2009. That's according to the FBI index.

I can't think of a reason why, unemployment is higher than the national average and the metro areas are all tree huggers who hate guns. I'm now waiting to see who takes credit for it tomorrow though.

The result will no doubt be that they will start releasing felons out of prison and it will go up again.

I think this would boil you over if it was used in the article: "The two teenage shooting victims were transported to local hospitals."

The press has a poor habit of referring to anyone who is shot as a "victim".

That was in the original Chandler article until the police ruled "justified."

Sorry for the guessing games, Chief, I was thinking vigilante, even though this guy was in his own home and not a vigilante. The connection I was making is people taking matters into their own hands.
