Substitute teacher in my school was arrested

A sub. teacher at my school was arrested by a local department and charged with
-8 counts of carrying a firearm with out a license
-9 counts of improper storage of a firearm
-2 counts of possession of ammo without a FID card
-possession of a firearm with out a license
-improper stoarage of a large capacity firearm
    -driving without a license
    -and driving a un-regestered vehicle.

Bond was 100K cash and $1 million surety(whatever that is?)

I guess the LEO's found 11 handguns, mace, a rifle, a shotgun and ammo, some of which were in his truck(which means he had firearms on school property), and others in his house after a search warrant was issued.(this is all from the newspaper)

apparently he provided a MO drivers license and a SS# on his application and the backround check showed nothing.

Biggest arreast in the last couple of years in my area. never would have guessed he would have done stuff like this(although he was kind of a shady character).

    so yeah....lol

Yikes! scarey stuff. Good thing they found it before he went postal or something. I wonder what made them want to search his truck.

Bail amount was 1 million, they typically accept 10% CASH as enough to get someone out with the rest being "assured" by a bailbondsman or by property.

Sounds like he needs to spend a field trip to the "hotel".

    What kind of liscense?

-9 counts of improper storage of a firearm
What the hell does that mean?

2 counts of possession of ammo without a FID card
What is a FID card and why do you need one before you can own ammo?

-possession of a firearm with out a license
You need a liscense to own a firearm in Mass.? Are you governed by nazis?

-improper stoarage of a large capacity firearm
What the hell does that mean?

    -driving without a license
    -and driving a un-regestered vehicle
The only charges that make any kind of sense.

Probably concelaed in his vehicle and he had no permit to carry concealed.

    Probably loaded in his vehicle.

Not sure of the FID card. Sounds like a MA kind of law.

Not sure why this wasn't included in #1

Sounds like handgun with a high cap clip that was either stored loaded or not properly secured. ( guessing)

Last two are just typical stupidity.

I was wondering if he was possibly bragging to his students about his artillery or made a threat of some kind. With highschool shootings and massacres in the news I guess they can't be too careful.

FID=Firearms Identification Card, again mass has screwy gun laws so you need one to get ammo or any firearm(except for certain ones, see link)

A surety is a guarantor of payment if another (person) fails to pay or perform. An example of a surety is a bail bondsman. You enter into a surety agreement with the surety (bondsman).

I hate MA gun laws. Good luck trying to get a CCW/LTC there. I've been in MA a bunch of times but I never had my piece on my person. Always locked up in the trunk until I reach destination (IDPA match). Those MA troopers LOVE to bust balls on people that have a CCW from another state. Ugh, if they even see a gun magazine in your back seat they bust your chops. I tried to apply for an out of state permit with MA and they never got back to me. Either that or my mail never got forwarded....

The best is VT. I've been there plenty of times with my gun on me in the open. There are a few people up there that carry in the open but I heard most of them still carry concealed anyway. I was in Burlington and saw a few people open carry and then in South Hero where all the campers carried in the open. Too bad all states didn't follow VT, haha.
