Howard's Pork Skins

I'm curious - does anyone out there eat these things? Some guy that came in to the office today had a couple of bags of these things and I like to try new things... These things have a strange odor

and I thought I was gonna break a tooth eating these things! :eek: They taste like friend chicken skin and upon closer inspection I think I can see the actual pores or hair . . .. . . . . .. . .

so anyone else know about these funky things? hahaha

When I was younger I ate them until I found out what they were. They are exactly what they sound.... fried pork skin. Very bad for ya. :p OOhhh and you can also get them in different flavors. Just about everyone here eats them.

Not everyone in the South has good taste. And pork rinds are not fatback just so ya know. :D

I know, my comment still stands.

I don't like pork rinds either.

I like ham, and I like bacon. Those are about the only two things from a pig I 'like'.

On a side note, give me a plate of barbeque, especially the stuff cooked in vinegar and I'll go to town on it

Bacon is just a fancy name for fatback so there. I can't argue on the BBQ though, YUMMMMMY! :D

I love pork rinds. Love em love em love em. You know how Homer drools when he sees a donut...well, that's me and pork rinds. They are my version of chocolate. We get the really good ones here because there are so many Amish and they make them. Nothing better than homemade pork rinds.
I am so gonna go to the store after I'm outta here. <drool> Dammit GMan26, see what ya did! lol

I've never been able to eat them. One of the guys I used to work with would buy them every day. Kind of nasty.. LOL

Hmmm, well the ones I bought ummm, had hair on it. I should have taken a pic of it but I didn't because I was kinda like, "uhhhhh". I mean long hair on the fried pork skin. Is this normal?????

Pig skin is very compatible to human skin so they use it on burn patients. Maybe you got a bag made out of skin meant for a hospital. lol
Or maybe it wasn't pig skin, but Jeffrey Dahmer's secret stash. <gak>
