Of every one hundred men, ten should not even be here. Eighty are nothing but targets. Nine are real fighters, and we are lucky to have them, for they make the battle. Ah, but the One... One of them is a Warrior... He will bring the others back.

Want to know what's funny? I saw more Confederate flags flying in Indian Territory in Arizona than I actually see flying around here.

.... and I'd never seen unmounted used tires on trailer roofs before I saw them there... I'm assuming to keep the wind noise down.

For the record... and this may predate your age of cognizance... the Michigan Militia among other groups are also known to fly/use the Confederate Flag.

That trailer is an upgrade compared to the one I lived in as a kid. No joke...

And an upgrade to some of the places in my sector...

Ah, now that is nothing but a good ole boy adapting and overcoming! The worst is in Davidson County, NC. I thought things were interesting in East Texas where I grew up, until I came up to NASCAR country. There is a trailer similar to that, but red wood deck and paneled in bits of destroyed race cars. To finish it off, he has a stuffed orangutan fishing off the side of the porch.

I love the South, but some of these folks will only rise to the level of floaters in the toilet!
For me, before there was the Thin Blue Line, there was the Blood Stripe! Semper Fi!

Our fear reminds us that we are not God, our faith reminds us that He is!

**DISCLAIMER** I'm not a current LEO, but have six years experience with two city PD's in NC and TX as a sworn officer. I'm in the process of returning to LEO work ASAP.

People at my current department are astounded that A) in the south brining up the NASCAR race will diffuse a domestic in it's tracks and B) I've been in a high speed pursuit with a vehicle that was fleeing for the sole reason that it had 10 gallons of moonshine in the back seat
Pittsburgh Pirates- 1st place NL Central 7/15/11

They've got us surrounded? Good. Now we can fire in any direction, those bastards wont get away this time

An amateur will train until they get it right. A professional will train until they can't get it wrong.

I never personally ran into 'Shine, although our Narcs busted an active "Still" back in the mid 90's.

I remember the Sheriff of my small backwoods County where I grew up demonstrating how clearly good 'Shine would burn when lit to our 7-8th grade school trip to the County Jail. I don't think any of us actually knew what Moonshine was used for back in 1973(?)

Now, I don't doubt why that Sheriff pulled that bottle out of his desk drawer. I don't think it was for demos.

At the risk of sounding like a sterotype, I know a guy from whom I get a jar from every once in a while.

And stop dissing on the South. It makes you look ignorant and pisses me off. :D

Back when Clayton County was dry, I used to drink in a shot house with the County Sheriff.

Don't people flee for pretty much any reason these days? >_>
