Jim, can you see me now?
This career is not a sprint, it is a marathon.
Trust me, I want to like this...
But I can't.
1. I almost couldn't log in. Block appeared where user name should be with no explanation for what it was. Places User name, but no block available for my password until 4th attempt, stil with no explanation for what it was.
2. I know everyone has different user habits, but the first threads I want to see when I log in are the ones I've subscribed to. I don't like having to search the site for those.
3. There is little deliniation between post responses and usersignatures in each post. I've already read more than a dozen Signature lines trying to decide how the signature lines are relavent to the post, not realizing the difference until several words into the signature.
4. As others have stated, where are the Verified tags? People want to know that the answer they are getting in Ask-A-Cop are actually FROM a Cop.
5. Where are the "Level" tags that indicate that the user is a paying subscriber. I realize that he various levels have all been unified into 1, but those who pay should be recognised as such, rather than simply getting a larger PM box.
This is just a few of my irritants after all of 15 minutes. Font size, suck azz wimp blue coloring are additional, but have also already been listed.
I know that people as a rule hate change, but this is change at an "Obama" level.
I DO like the rep bar position, now. There, I'm not totally Negative...

BTW, the "Whats New" Tab and the "New Posts" button are redundant. One could easily be what you have turned the "settings" button into.... which is really a bad term for the function that it serves... I find no "settings" under there at all, just my subscribed active threads.
OK, now I really will shut up for awhile...

I really have nothing of value to add that hasn't already been said, my main issue is the verified tags...I'm just trying to get to 200 posts![]()

I don't care much for it. I hate that I have to login each time and there is not a "remember me" option that I can find. As others have said this reply font is too small for an old bastard like me.
I home someone is listening to all these posts.
I'll say this one more time... I HATE IT.
"The enemy of my enemy is probably still my enemy."
I think the block for that is just below the log in name, but there's not enough of it visible to tick it on. I tried.
That's when I am lucky enough to be able to log in, since I usually only get one long box for me to guestimate what it is.
I haven't been on in a few days, so logging on today is like going away for a few days, returning unexpectedly and discovering your bombshell looking girlfriend turned out to be a guy in drag... not that THAT has actually ever happened to me....![]()

I really don't like anything about this new look. It was fine the way it was before. As was said earlier, change for the sake of change is dumb. RP has been on a steady decline in its quality, and that has nothing to do with the members. I enjoy talking to everybody here and have for years. As a regular reader, contributor, and donor, I find it awfully hard to swallow that such drastic changes would be made without at least asking for the opinions of those who regularly use RP and make it what it is.
Why are all of my replies "quick replies" automatically? Do the owner of this site have ANY questions as to how those that actually use it on a regular basis feel?
Why doesn't the site rtemember me when I sign-in???? When I exit the site I'm "ASSUMING", for some unknown reson it totally logs m e out???? I don't see anywhere to keep me logged in.....
