IMO, the "Navigation" column (aka the more room for advertisements column) needs to be gone, or at least made narrower. You already have an Ad bar across the top, just move the stuff (advertisements) from the left column to the bar at the top. Legitimate navigation buttons/links can be placed within the existing "tool bars" up near the top (or a new "tool bar" could be added). What's next, advertisements, oh I'm sorry, I mean, "NAVIGATION" on all four sides of the page?

I tried to post earlier to say the new format seems to load better on my BlackBerry, but I couldn't find the "Post" button! Anyhow, now that I'm on a PC it isn't all bad. It will take some getting used to, that's for sure. I have the same complaints as most everyone else, noe LEO tags etc. But give 'em time, you can't get perfection the 1st time, unless you're me.
I had trouble with this too. What used to be "User CP" can now be accessed by clicking the "Settings" link.

I like the other format as well :(. For me the color scheme, layout, and interface was MUCH easier to navigate and far more visually appealing
