?? I would have thought the school would be a better place than a house.

I would have thought that too, but in reality its just the luck of the draw where the thing sets down.

I grew up with those damn things on the Texas plains. You can keep them plus the Gulf and Atlantic coast hurricanes. I'll put up with the drizzle. In the 40+ years I've lived in Orygun, we've have a total of two tornadoes even though the last was last year.

yes technically the school would be safer but i was'nt about to leave my seven year old at his elementary school and not knowing if it was there or not...protective mother mode I guess... I have been in a total of three of them and I am TERRIFIED of them I even dream about them...you can hear them and it's a eerie quiet when one is brewing nearby it's unmistakable, the first one i was in 1st grade and it hit our school it took a huge chunk out of a brick wall and a tree fell into our classroom shattering about 10 windows...I will never forget it...I guess that's why I went to get my son..

Just thought I'd share:

Yesterday was 73 degrees, sunny, and a slight breeze. Great day. Took the little guy outside, dug in the dirt, rode his powerwheel, good kid stuff.

TODAY - 37 degrees, windy as hell, and raining.

You shall not find more ****ed up weather, I swear.

We have thunderstorms tonight, And who knows what we will have tomorrow. because Nebraska's weather is unpredictable. Example we got a snow day because they predicted 8 inches of snow by 3:00 pm for 48 hours.
Guess what we got no snow
