I would say no. I'm surprised they didn't ask for your SS# too. I guess that would have made it too obvious.
I've gotten emails from Yahoo before about an account being inactive and that it will be deleted but it never asked for any information.Excuse me Officer, I have a stupid Question. "No problem, I've got a stupid answer for you!"

Hellz no! Forward that with full headers to Yahoo! help/tech services/whatever they call it but do not give anyone your password or account info - even for Yahoo!.

As many have already said, it is definitely a scam. As a matter of fact I can't believe it is still around, I received the EXACT same email over a year ago. At that time I almost believed it because I never use my yahoo email. I consider it my "spam account"."Some people are just pathologically unaware."

NO!!! That is not legit! It's just as the others are saying on here. It's not legit but an attempt to hack into your e-mail account.
Yahoo will never ask you questions such as your password nor for your ID over an e-mail like that.
There are too many of these so called Verify your account e-mails going on. I just delete them. Guess what, my account is still up and running.
