Ahh, 10 hours later I'm finally virus free. I always thought having a Trojan handy was a good thing.
Anyway, my wife apparently click on a link sent to her on facebook. Of course since it didn't work on her laptop she decided to try it on the main computer. I was so happy to find both computers infected with a Trojan down loader which quickly recked havoc on my older xp machine. I will have to say this was one masterpiece of a virus. It bypassed AVG anti-virus, windows defender, ad aware, and defeated zone-alarm. I found a program called Malwarebytes Anti-Malware that actually got rid of everything this Trojan had downloaded.
So if you see a link on your facebook from one of your friends that says, hey I didn't know you were on TV. Don't click on it or your husband will be real pissey!

thanks a day late and about 3 hours late... seriously, got one from a "friend" on facebook that contacted all my friends (3
) and tried to infect them with the same thing...disabled my account for a while.

I had one about a month ago. It was a virus scan virus called "Cyber Defender" and they wanted me to pay to get rid of it. None of my virus protection measures would eliminate the bugger. I finally downloaded the Microsoft Clean Sweep, activated it an it took the little bugger out along with a couple I did not know I had. I use the MS Clean Sweep almost exclusively now. Among the others I use AVG, SpyBot and a couple of others - none running together.
Be courteous to all, but intimate with few, and let those few be well tried before you give them your confidence!

I've been thinking of deleting my facebook account. I'm getting tired of all the BS that seems to come with it. I originally got it so I could see the pictures of my grandkids that my daughters post, but it's gotten out of hand.
