So I'm working when I get a phone call from my wife. She was screaming that she just got rear ended. I had to tell to call 911 because she was in a different jurisdiction. Well she hangs up without telling me if she or my 2 boys were OK.
I call my supervisor and get OK'd to go out there. My wife and 2 boys were just fine. The car that rear ended my wife was pretty much totaled. The driver "fell asleep" and the front end of the car went up under the bumper of the Titan. The rear bumper was pushed in a lil bit and slightly buckled the right rear quarter panel of the bed. But that's all the damage to the truck. Heck, the boys didn't even know someone hit them.
Everyone came out OK and luckily the other person had insurance.

Glad your family is ok, I made the mistake of buying a Ford Focus for the gas mileage. Unfortunately me and my wife was hit by a 1998 Chevy 4 by 4, His truck wasn't hurt bad at all and my back bumper is in my back seat. So the lesson i learned was bigger is better.

Something similar happened to me a few months ago. I was making a left turn and a guy in a jeep liberty was attempting to turn right (onto the road I was making my left turn from). I still can't figure out how he managed it, but he ended turning right into me. My 99 dakota came through without a scratch (and I looked hard ). His liberty had a softball size dent on the bumper. Glad everyone is okay.
My wife and I got rearended two weeks ago in her Toyota Avalon. The kid that hit us was in a Ford Focus. Our rear bumper ate all the damage and we didn't even feel that much of the impact. His car is DOA, we just have to have the bumper replaced on her car.
