The bar lights in my last dept had a record option on the PA. One of the guys recorded his ring which was the COPS theme song. At a traffic stop some young lads got a bit mouthy and had to be put in their place. A few tickets were issued and a few hard words put them back a peg or two and they realised that Police do not have to be polite all the time.
As the police car pulled away, the theme song could be heard blaring out of the car PA.
Also we used to test the car sirens before starting shift. Just a short blast. The car park however was directly under the local prison. Some of the prisoners complained that we were waking them up. HA! Idiots!!!
The next morning, Jailhouse Rock by Elvis could be heard blaring out of the car PA's!!!

Last night, CincyCop made his way to San Antonio for layover. Dues to the cold weather the marching band was not available to herald his arrival. However I am told that a Mariachi Band was serenading him however they were not in the place he was.
We met and went to Hooters of all places and had a good time. We then walked next door and saw the Alamo. I am sure that Collin will be along shortly to post pics of our outing.
We had a great time and look forward to another visit and hopefully the weather will be warmer.
Many thanks to RP member JeffW for meeting up in San Antonio, TX on 05DEC10! It was cool...we went to Hooters (first pic) and to the Alamo (second pic)...and Jeff presented me with patches and challenge coins from his current LE positions which was very thoughtful.
At Hooters with JeffW left, Hooteriffic Hooters Girl middle and CincyCop right...
At the Alamo with an Alamo Ranger left, JeffW middle and CincyCop right...

BTW, CincyCop asked that he be allowed to try to identify me in the lobby as it is a game he plays trying to pick out the FAMS on his flights.
Since I was wearing a hat, he did not recognize my bald dome. CincyCop=FAIL.![]()
Yeppers, you got me, Chief!
I'll admit it...I'm not too hot at picking out the FAMs at the gate either...I'm only successful (maybe) 20% of the time.
Here's a couple pics from today in Philadelphia, PA where we're laying over tonight. The other pilot and myself ran about 4 miles from the layover hotel to The Philadelphia Museum of Art where "Rocky" ran the steps. Just had to check out the "Rocky" gig.
