Actually, I'd bet money the reporter is just parroting what that cop told her. I've seen plenty of pictures with "brass" holding weapons they incorrectly name.

The only thing wrong I see is that tie totally does not coordinate with his pants. He should have gone with the color Fusia, it complements the gray slacks. Also a black belt on light pants is like combining peanut butter with vinegar...so passe'
