Shoot, this is sober stuff. We only listen a little to the short rowdy guy voice that jumps up and down yelling, "Say this! Say this!"

Wait until some alcohol is involved. The little short rowdy guy (LSRG) seems to get drunk first, probably because of the lower body mass, and really starts screaming out weird stuff. And....we, with decreased inhibitions, listen to the kick starter!

My grandparent's aren't alive. Enjoy it while you can!
Of every one hundred men, ten should not even be here. Eighty are nothing but targets. Nine are real fighters, and we are lucky to have them, for they make the battle. Ah, but the One... One of them is a Warrior... He will bring the others back.

    "Wrong door, buddy!"

Let no man's ghost say my training failed him.

All my grandparents died by the time I was about 10.

I miss my Dad everyday though. There seems to always be something happening that I would like to tell him about. Same with my older brother. They died within two weeks of one another in 1998. I credit them both with making me the man I am today......

I still regret all the time and conversations I could have had with them and didn't.

Sunday, I'm taking my granddaughter to a butterfly exhibit. Sunday afternoon, my grandson and I will be destroying cardboard with my Daisy Red Ryder BB gun!:D
Apparently, I'm supposed to be more angry about what Mitt Romney does with his money than what Barack & Michelle Obama do with mine

You are going to shoot yer eye out!

Jim, I know exactly what you are talking about. The first thing I did today after getting home, before even getting a chance to get out of uniform, was to replace the batteries in my three year old granddaughter's singing Barbie.

She stood right there, very attentive as I performed "surgery" so Barbie could sing again. We talked about how I wasn't hurting Barbie, I was trying to make her better, like when she (Neecie) has to go to the doctor.

After we made Barbie get all better, Neecie said, "Thank you, Papa." That is what life is all about.
