A few weeks ago I spoke to my USAF recruiter and apparently new applicants are being put on a freeze for the Dallas county office. So I came up with a plan B, C, D, E and F..:rolleyes: I recently applied at a downtown Dallas hospital police department, I passed my oral board today for the position of a Public Service Officer. Basically a PD security guard, although it will get my foot in the door. I am going to go back to school to work on an associates for now. I really want to go to the Air Force but I do not want to waste another year waiting around for them to tell me yes or no. I want to get going and get a start on my dream of joining the men and women in blue. I am just so confused on what to do as both of my parents are police officer's and both took different ways to get there. There are just so many options and I do not want to screw up. Sorry I had to get this off my chest!

Maybe go to a recruiter outside the metro area and see what they can do. Some that are in less populated areas might have more trouble making quotas. The drive down to Waco is nice.....;)

I'm actually going to apply with DPS once I turn 21 =] but until then I will get some time under my belt and plus I can start my TMRS if I get hired on with this local PD
