Put me in for a vote on the Zune. I have had one since thy came out, having the 30 gig first and now the 120gig. I held out with smaller mp3 players, avoiding the Apple label until Microsofft finally came out with the Zune. I don't like having to convert all my stuff to use the i-pods.

The only advantage you really have for i-pods is the great assortment of accessories. While that may be huge for some people, it never swayed me. I have mounts for my Zune in my g-ride as well as my Jeep. I could not be happier.

I too, wanted to avoid the Apple thing and started with a Zune. My wife and daughter both have IPODs, and it is MUCH easier to use, ITunes is a breeze also.

We have well over 500 CDs that we burned to a computer and play through our home theater system. It is a piece of cake to put them on the IPODs.

I took the IPOD plunge, and for me it works better.

I hate anything with an Apple on it.

That being said, I recently had to download Itunes, because "Music Match" was sold to "Yahoo music" which was sold to Itunes:rolleyes: and I ended up with several extra programs I neither wanted or needed, but am forced to keep because itunes needs them to update or whatever.

I hate Quicktime movies with a passion...

I am presently in the market for an mp3 player and have been looking at knock-offs or a Zune, but I just need a small one.

We bought one of the nieces a Zune for Christmas a year or so back and she's had a lot of trouble with it. She tells me that the only way you can put music on it is to buy it from the Zune shop, but I have a hard time believing it. She's 13 and might not really know how to do things old school.

I have a portable cd player that plays burned disc mp3's that I've used for nearly a decade.

    Creeker,

You can rip from a cd or dump music into the My Music folder and it will all end up on your Zune with little to no input needed (depending on how you set it up). Hell, I don't think there is anything stopping it from interchanging with another Zune's owner's comp if you plugged it in (not that I would condone such a thing). The point is, there really is no restriction on how to get the music on it. If it is in the My Music folder of the comp and you have the Zune software installed, it will all sync without any effort whatsoever.

Great feature in my opinion.

I'd like an Ipod, but I have a Zune, so I'll stick with that for the time being.
