I have a sony and I use it every day. I purchased a little fm transmitter that plugs into the bottom and stays flush with it. I can listen to it anywhere. It also has awesome battery life.

I have a little Samsung U3, and buy all my music from Amazon MP3 (no DRM), does that count?

Without reading all of the replies so far (trying to keep an open mind here), I have an iPod. The ease of use is great. I love how they make all these accessories for it, ways to plug it into your car stereo and have the stereo operate it, etc. I bought a refurbished 160 gig model. It is HUGE, and I only have 5 gigs of music on it.

That said, my son has a Zune. It is not as easy to operate, however I don't need Apple-branded goodies and software to get it to work. It is not as bug-infested as my iPod (it seems that when Apple says it's time to upgrade iTunes I lose a lot of music and have to reload it all from CD). And I can plug more than 1 Zune into my laptop to transfer music from one computer to another (my own computers....no copyright issues here!!). So it has better accessibility than iPod. I also like the looks of the Zune better than the iPod. It looks....sportier.

ok, I'll go read the other responses now :D
