Finally back to full duty! I've been out on sick leave since the last week in June. Went into the ER with minor chest pain and ended up with a stent and a hospital stay.
Now, that's not the real problem, I feel better now with a lot more energy than I had before. To be honest, I could have gone back to work the following week.
The problem was to get my dept to stop treating me like I'm made out of spun glass. Climb stairs and they look at you like they expect you to drop dead at any moment. I have younger officers trying to carry my briefcase for me.
The one good thing is that I burned vacation to cover most of it, no worker's comp. Dealing with that alone would have driven me over the deep edge. :(
I wonder what the case load looks like?

I'll be thankful when I'm allowed to go back to work. I'm sick of doctors and specialists, physical therapy, MRI's, needles jabbed in my back, medication...
I just want to be healthy again and be able to work from morning to night like I've always done.
