Get better soon. Also, if you have something like that and do not think the doctor is going down the right path, a second opinion from another doctor elsewhere is a good thing to do.

Some of these medical quacks get really out there. I suffered from back problems for months and nothing helped. Did the whole medical thing, spinal specialist, MRI injections etc. Decided to give my chiro a visit and he did a simple x-ray. Said he could not see anything wrong bone wise, but that had mass that needed to get checked out. Medical doctor does not like chiro and said that it was probably his fingerprint, but sent me to another specialist.
Turned out I had several small marble sized kidney stones lodged in the kidney. simple one day operation and they pulled 3 of them suckers out. Back pain gone. Who would have thunk it?
Get better soon Jmac. It has to blow not being able to use your hand though. Have you tried to apply moist heat to it? Would Epsom Salt even work for it?
Concerning chiropractors, in 2003 I was involved in a bad fall that impaired my ability to walk normally. The doctor was of no help to me, only content with dosing me up on pain killers. So I went to a chiropractor. For a year I was there, in physically therapy, and I could actually walk normally again instead of looking like a hunched back of Notre Dam.
About four years later in 2007 I was involved in a car crash, and I went back to him. He helped me heal up a lot quicker than the doctor would have. So, if there is one chiropractor I do trust, it's the one I've been to.
Stop whining about your life's woes. The soldier who fought for your freedom lost two arms and a leg. You don't hear him complaining.
The day someone makes a video game for the enjoyment of 'conquering the world' is the day I will roll on the floor laughing.
JMAC....clean out your pm's you miserable old 'coot.
