What are your thoughts on blackberrys?

I was thinking about getting one more than likely from an ebay store, since im in the middle of a contract and then having my serive provider add a data plan, but i probably call my service provider first to make sure i can do it before paying for the blackberry. I really like the curves, and i like the fact that when im away from home i can still look stuff up or check my email

I really prefer blueberries or even raspberries. I don't have a Blackberry; but you know whats said about berries: The darker the berry the sweeter the juice.

That's because it didn't make logical sense to me and thus was not good enough to have the dramatic border.

What??? Delicious cake is awesome. And c'mon you gotta admit it was pretty funny.

Heck I'd post it here if I wasn't so sure you'd take it down and make fun of me.

And phooey to your blueberries. Cranberries and Strawberries is where its at

To the OP, blackberries are cool, but it depends on the service provider. Which SP were you looking at?

I have a curve. The first two had "technical problems" that Verizon was unaware of, even though they were both supposedly brand new from Verizon. First one was great for a while, then the ball stopped working and the phone kept freezing. Second one, password wouldn't work (it was 1,2,3,4 haha so I know it wasn't me forgetting the password). But it wouldn't unlock the phone and then it reset the entire phone and would not turn on. Verizon couldn't figure it out, so they gave me a third Curve. Refurbished I'm sure, but so far so good.

Other than the above, and its not a big deal because I have everything backed up on Outlook, I like the Curve, internet, and email. Googlemaps is great on the curve as well.

Personally I'd get a smart phone (I like the trēos more than Blackberry but to the point...)

I would use it mostly for E-mail and some web surfing. I can get mobile web on my phone for like $9.99 per month. The mobile web is unlimited data and I can still check my E-mail and websites, granted not as easily/nicely as I could on a smart phone; however its cheaper by like $30 last time I checked at the cost of a smart phone data plan.

Bottom line is I think Verizon over charges for data on a smart phone.

I use mine to make phone calls......
Apparently, I'm supposed to be more angry about what Mitt Romney does with his money than what Barack & Michelle Obama do with mine

    +1

I've been thinking about getting a blackberry but then I ask myself what I would do with it? All I use my phone for is to make a few calls and send a text message once in a while.

Not sure it's worth the extra $$ to have that type of phone & I have verizon as well so I know what they charge.

See I have a Palm Treo for Sprint and I use mine for pretty much everything.

Keeping appointments, making calls, texting, surfing the net during school, using the internet as a prompt-to map to find places when I get lost....

about the only thing I don't use it for is to memorize phone numbers.
