Joe,
I'm not pissed or outraged at the CIA. I certainly don't want any kind of Congressional 'investigation' or even any punishment - whatsoever - for the people who gave the order to or did the waterboarding. It happened. I don't agree with it, I don't think we should do it again. Move on, case closed. I think we have a multitude of other options we can employ, they are equally effective though they may be harder or take more time, and we set the better example. That's all I'm saying.
Yes, these people are phucking scumbags and we should actively find them and kill them. Period. No problem with killing every single one of them, if it takes thousands of killings over decades. Don't care - find them, engage them, destroy them. But we shouldn't stoop anywhere near their level by engaging in any technique that could be construed by anyone as physical torture. Mind torture I don't care about. But we can do what we need to do without muddying the waters with any controversy or anything that the far left or the loonies could claim is torture. We keep our honor clean.
Of course we are outraged at the murders and torture that the lunatics are committing - that's why I support us finding them and killing them. And of course I'm angry with DUI killings and crime - that's why most of us are good, hard working coppers. And no, I don't believe in the death penalty, but that's a seperate discussion.
I think you, Bill, RDS, and I are taking this way to serious. You and Bill think we should go head and employ it - no worries about it. I think RDS, and I know myself, are simply saying not to, but we're not screaming libs who are outraged and want punishment. Nothing like that. We just think there are better ways that are equally effective, so use them. That's iit.
