    Joe,

I'm not pissed or outraged at the CIA. I certainly don't want any kind of Congressional 'investigation' or even any punishment - whatsoever - for the people who gave the order to or did the waterboarding. It happened. I don't agree with it, I don't think we should do it again. Move on, case closed. I think we have a multitude of other options we can employ, they are equally effective though they may be harder or take more time, and we set the better example. That's all I'm saying.

Yes, these people are phucking scumbags and we should actively find them and kill them. Period. No problem with killing every single one of them, if it takes thousands of killings over decades. Don't care - find them, engage them, destroy them. But we shouldn't stoop anywhere near their level by engaging in any technique that could be construed by anyone as physical torture. Mind torture I don't care about. But we can do what we need to do without muddying the waters with any controversy or anything that the far left or the loonies could claim is torture. We keep our honor clean.

Of course we are outraged at the murders and torture that the lunatics are committing - that's why I support us finding them and killing them. And of course I'm angry with DUI killings and crime - that's why most of us are good, hard working coppers. And no, I don't believe in the death penalty, but that's a seperate discussion.

I think you, Bill, RDS, and I are taking this way to serious. You and Bill think we should go head and employ it - no worries about it. I think RDS, and I know myself, are simply saying not to, but we're not screaming libs who are outraged and want punishment. Nothing like that. We just think there are better ways that are equally effective, so use them. That's iit.

I am all for using whatever tactics are necessary to insure the safety and freedom of the USA. Since these are terrorists , there is no POW type protection that should be afforded them.

CoC, I honestly believe that, while we do live in some highly technical times in which we SHOULD be able to intercept Terrorist Intelligence, between the Feds getting in each others way trying to take credit, compartmentalising and political infighting and our assorted Heads of State getting in the way or shutting down humanint, most opportunities that could be/should have been won have been easily lost due to Bureaucratic incompetence and Grand Standing.

My personal opinion is that if they had enough info to know when/where something was going to happen, I could care less what had to happen to them for them to spill it.

Hell, our country privately and publicly assassinates our enemies and has openly stated that we'd like BL's or his Hench-men's head on a stake, so what's the real big deal weather we do it in a cell, on a Battlefield or while he's getting his rocks off getting his beard waxed? We've done it with Hellfire's from Predator's and with Tomahawks from Submarine's.

All things considered, when did riding a Donkey up a Mountain side to an Al Qaeda campfire become a Death Penalty offense?

Lets stand on a Principle, for crying out loud. I don't care if we kill'em while riding a Donkey, nor do I care if we kill'em while we're getting any and all info out of them, to be interpreted and extrapolated ASAP or at a later date... but that's just it... we ain't killen'em! We're making them breathe hard... and its only been three for crying out loud.

Is it cruel? Yes. Is it unusual? Yes. Is it Punishment? Yes. Do I think it is okay for or government to do this? No.

It's just that simple to me. I think what seperates us from them is that we are the good guys and we are not the good guys if we do this. It's UnAmerican in my opinion. I think you hae to draw the line somewhere.

But nobody cares about my opinion and I'm okay with that because I don't care about anyone's but my own. ;)

I would love see a side shot of President Obama silently burning a piece of paper with the words "Geneva Convention" clearly imprinted on top of the page. As it falls to the ground in an ashen heap, he turns to look into the camera with his big ears and a menacing scowl while saying, "We're coming to get you. Damn the rules." Then he could turn and quickly exit amidst the astonished silence of the media.

    That would kick

    ***!

To punctuate the point we should rain Hellfire missles and cruise missle damnation down upon marked targets. Terrorist training centers, weapons caches, Taliban and Al Qaeda stronghold, etc.

    Scorched earth, bitches!
Of every one hundred men, ten should not even be here. Eighty are nothing but targets. Nine are real fighters, and we are lucky to have them, for they make the battle. Ah, but the One... One of them is a Warrior... He will bring the others back.

    "Wrong door, buddy!"

Let no man's ghost say my training failed him.

Glad you like it. Goes to show that no matter what you do for some people, they're wholly unappreciative. He's not even an active player - he's an "educator." Now you see why they grow up with a vile taste in their mouths for Americans.
