It's purple, swollen and throbbing as I write this.
My right ring finger that is.
1st knuckle dislocation resultant from a good old fashioned knock-down-drag-out last night.
My grandson is visiting and I have never enjoyed cartoons as much in my entire life as I did this morning watching with him; assisted by percocet. :D
As so oft used by our good friend Norm to close...that is all. ;)

Percocet works okay.... usually knocks me out.
Vicodin works better. With that stuff, you know the pain's still in there somewhere, but you just don't care.

Naw. Finger and hand is immobilized for a few more days. The swelling and bruising was well developed before they wrapped it up in a splint. Originally Posted by Norm357
I did find out my wife has no sense of humor at 0230 hours when I got home from the ER with my uniform all dirty and hand bandaged up. After asking what happened, I told her the doc suggested my finger would heal up faster if I went home and "soaked it in cider" and that I was hoping she could suck the poison out. :p
She rolled her eyes, only like a woman can, which indicated I best get away from her pronto before I received other non-work related injuries.
