    Question Amount of caffeine?

Would you want the amount of caffeine in drinks to be printed in the nutritional facts like sugar, carbs, etc. ? I am interested to see what the consensus is. I would think people would be surprised to know the amounts of the drinks they are drinking.

I think that's a good idea. I hear starbucks coffee is extremely high in caffeine. Sure gives me the jitters.

If my sister-in-law gives my daughter 1 more mt dew at 9 pm, I'm gonna strangle her. I keep telling her it has lots of caffine, but she "won't believe it til she sees it."

Caffeine raises insulin levels in the blood. This is critical information for people who are diabetic, have insulin resistance, or otherwise need to watch that.

I say absolutely, especially since I can’t have caffeine and am on a low carb diet.

interesting about the diabetic thing. Didn't know that that caffine did that.

I've never gotten any kind of 'sugar rush' or anything like that. so I don't know if that would actually matter to 'me'

I find it strange that the preferred hot beverage for English people is tea but for Americans its coffee, why is that?

Officially:Because coffee comes from South America (over by us) while tea comes from India which was once controlled by England.
My Opinion: Because coffee is stronger than tea and in England (where men are desperate and the sheep are nervous) tea is about all that they can handle. :p

Caffiene doesn't affect me much, I can drink 3-4 cups of coffee and go right to sleep, same goes for Mt. Dew, or anything else...
In HS we used to buy "Jolt" sodas, it advertizes right on the can that it has twice the caffine of any other soft drink.

It never did much for me either... I
