Pierced ears

If you do let her get her ears pierced, consider taking her to a piercing shop. The only reason I say this is for hygene. Watch most stands set up in malls, etc... that use the "guns" and how they clean them. You can get a pathogen there. They don't steralize (sp) the equipment. Granted, the chance of contracting anything is low, but if it were my kid, I would want to see the needle and jewelry come out of a sealed package. Just my 2p.

My parents had a fit when I got the third piercing, and I was 24!!! Geez, they need to get a grip. Good thing they don't know about the "other" piercing I have.

Vadar, excellent point about the mall shops. I personally would go someplace small and reputable, not one where some 16 yo kid is armed with a piercing gun.

You been in my house? ;) We also play "how to get away from a BG" (she has learned to kick the old family jewels very hard) , and she is learning combat pistol tactics. (with fake guns, but you should see her taking cover!)

3 more years and it'll be a belly button ring. 3 years after that and it'll be a little nose ring and 5 years after that it'll be nice tattoo down her back. are you scared?
