I saw a little bit of Average Joe...haven't heard of the other ones.

My friend made me watch the first Average Joe, and I got hooked...

I saw the last 5 minutes of Average Joe while we were getting ready for work. Otherwise, I knew nothing about the show.
I thought the guy she turned down handled it with class. I didn't see anything but lust with that other guy, but that was only based on the 5 mins I saw.
I did see the newest Joe Millionaire - because it was set in Italy and I lived there for a period of time and wanted to see what they showed.... anyway, "Joe" was really as dumb as a bag of rocks, although he had an amazing body!!! I don't think their relationship will last.
I watch A Simple Life because those girls are so stupid, conceited, slutty, snobby.. it is pathetic, but mesmorizing. ;)

all those shows are all calculated... just my feeling. from begining to end they know who is going to be the one... i don't know i don't watch that stuff but a few of my female friends are addicted to it.

i like howard stern but... haha

what happened at the end of average joey? did she pick that guy or the other guy...hahaha. what a joke... what have we become

By we do you mean society? I never watch any of the reality TV, but the wife started watching Joe Average. It was a simple premise, a hot chick is always going to choose a pretty boy over an average guy. The wife told me that Melana was actually treating the guys with respect and seemed to be havong fun with them.

I figured it might be an interesting study. Could the girl change? Could she put her predjudices aside, change her thinking and love the average guy.

The look on her face when they brought in the pretty boys for the first time told me there was no way she would end up with an average.

She narrowed it down to two guys;

Guy 1. Average Joe. He was not great looking, kinda goffy and silly. In the last episode she learned he was a self-made millionaire living in NY. He had great friends who truly loved him, was very close to his family.

Guy 2. Very Pretty Guy. He was a 26 year old waiter living in his parents house. Thats it.

She choose the pretty guy. Theory confirmed.

She chose the pretty boy, what the hell is the point of this show. Ratings/money I guess. This lady sounds shallow...

As a society I guess - I just think these type of reality shows are a waste of time. Especially all these "Who wants to marry..." "Average joe" "billionare..." argh, its all crap. But hey i guess its entertainment u know?

Oh and I think the average Joe chick is a B***h. I so would have picked the other guy. He had way more personality and that made him attractive, from the whole 5 minutes that I watched. But then again maybe she did make the right choice...That other dude was perfect for her.

Yes in a way you are correct. Both are attractive (well I guess the guy is) and both are probably very "concerned" with the way they look and portray themselves to the world so... why not - its probably a blessing in disguise for that average joe. I bet this whole show was planned and there will be a follow up show next month or something.

But we all pick people we are sexually attracted to. She chose the poor waiter over the rich guy, but I know a lot of people think she chose cute guy over plain guy. You can't force what isn't there folks.
Looks matter and if you think they don't, quit combing your hair, brushing your teeth, and let your grandma buy your clothes. lol

You are right to some extent O, but ever wonder why the divorce rate is so high? My theory is that most people now-a-days are marrying for the wrong reasons. They are looking for the wrong thing, and in the end when it is all said and done they are not satisfied. I wonder why? Looks and Material all fade in time. But a personality, and understanding last forever.

Last I heard the rate was 60% (divorce) for newlyweds (sp), and that excludes the list that have been married for more than 5 years.

Looks are not everything - yes it is the first thing we see and I do agree to that but if you want a relationship you can't base the looks. If you're looking for a fling then who cares... I dated a pretty girl a while ago (I thought she was). I admit I was attracted to her looks a lot and that's why I tried so hard to pursue her - after dating for 12 weeks I had enough and broke it off. She was so pushy, a complainer, yeller, "I am a godess and everyone else shall worship me" attitude I could not take it.

I'd be happy with a person with a good personality and a person who wants to have fun. Not a girl that spends freakin' 1hr to get ready to go to the freakin' mall and acts like some damn model!!! How annoying...
