When we have a " wild child" we call the jail and ask for ( and I am not kidding) the " welcoming committee". We roll into the sally port. The extraction team comes out and removes said person from the cruiser and we dont have to lift a finger to aid them inside the building.

I never had a problem getting the out of the car. Getting them in sometimes was interesting. But once I got them in the sallyport, I never had a problem. A fighter was left cuffed after I got them inside and they taken behind closed doors where I couldn't see what was going on. A few minutes later, a C.O. would come out with my handcuffs and give them to me. :confused:

Have an inmate that is irrate as hell? We just radio ahead and tell the jail we are on the way with a irrate inmate with an ETA of __ . The goon squad (usually 5 of our largest C.O.'s) are waiting out at the sally port. I don't even get the guy out of the car. They open the door, haul him out kicking and screaming and is carried to the back. A few minutes later I get my Rip-Hobble back and a pair of handcuffs. :D

Our deupties live for it. One radio call that you're coming in with a fighter and when you enter the sallyport, there's a stream of brown uniforms coming out to meet me.

I think all cruisers should come fully installed with an eject button so any said officer pulling up to the sallyport could activate it within a 1/2 mile radius :D

Many, many moons ago, Portland still had a city jail. I was pretty new and doing a training rotation there. Somebody had arrested this creep on a army desertion warrant and brought him in. He was a fighter and a total PITA.

When the MP's come to pick him up, we told him what a problem he had been so when they brought him out, they put him on the floor and put a wide leather belt thing around his chest. Every time he exhaled, they tighten it just a bit. When he could pull in about 100cc of air at a time, they let him up. Amazing how when you can't breathe, nothing else is important.....
