Just for accuracy's sake (even though it's off topic), that is no longer the case officially for Catholics. That mindset, which was common in other churches as well mind you, went out with the 70's (although I am sure plenty of grandmothers would disagree )

Sorry about the inaccuracy. I based it on what a Jewish friend told me when he converted to Catholocism (sp) to marry his wife.
