    Cell phones

I know this is a police forum, with over 300 posts, I think I should by now.:D

Anyway, My time on my parents cell phone plan is finally up! I will be getting a new plan on my own, and will be starting fresh. I am just wondering do you guys have any suggestions? What provider? Plan? Phone?

Here is what I am looking for in a plan:
at least 400 anytime minutes (I don't talk ALL that much)
unlimited text (I text a lot)
    Night and weekends

I would like to keep my bill below $40.00, but for some reason I don't think that is going to happen . Can anyone help me? I am completely clueless when it comes to these things, and I would like to know what to look for when I go and get a plan at the stores.

Find out what provider your friends use, and go with it.

That's why I went with Verizon. All of my friends have Verizon, so I never really even use all of my minutes, since most of my calls are "free". That, and I am not the chatty type anyway.

Expect to get extra taxes and surcharges on top of the under $40 plan which will bring up the bil close to $50 with 400 basic plan.

I switched to AT&T because Verizon kept messing with my bill too much, and as you know Verizon was court ordered to compensate customers for overbilling a couple of years ago.

Thousands of free Verizon calling cards were mailed out to random customers as a result.
So proceed with caution should you choose Verizon.

Motorola hasn't failed me so far, model is personal preference, and all elecronic parts are the same made in China or Singapore.
If you live in a State that handsfree is mandatory while driving get a model with bluetooth feature.
