To take a Physical Abilities Test in 100 degree heat sometime tonight. I have to go take the PAT for the CHP and it is about 1 1/2 drive from here in the desert!
It'll be very interesting. Needless to say I just had breakfast and will take lots of water.

Not to rub it in, but if you had stayed around here, you could have taken the test I took where it was about 70 degrees and cloudy...and it had been hot before and after. Lucky me. I have a feeling I won't feel so lucky if I get the call to start doing pushups in the snow when January rolls around though...kind of evens out

I took my first PT test with USBP in GA in August.
Of course we found out later that FLETC had put up the black flag, not that it made much of a difference :rolleyes:

So... Yeah it was horrible. We had a sprint in the early morning and at 10AM we had a 500yd run easy enough right? WRONG! It was 92 degrees!
Thanks to your well wishes and my l33t physical skillz (not!) I passed and I guess it could have been worse had I not taken a huge bottle of water with me and a sandwich!
and CHP stands for California Highway Patrol... :p
Now on to be grilled by a panel of really old important people.
