Sunburn sucks(or why Podz doesn't go to the beach)

Spent the day at Vriginia Beach yesterday. I don't know what kind of POS sunscreen my wife got, but it didn't do jack. Some sort of spray on jobbie. I put it on 4 times in 3 hours but I burned to a crisp. My back and shoulders are bad, but the worst is that the backs of my knees burned, making every step painful.

Now you know why I really won't mind living in Colorado. Not a beach for hundreds of miles.

No. I was laying on my stomach reading for a bit while the wife tanned, or burned, thinking I was OK because I had put sunscreen on the backs of my legs too. And the spray wasn't tanning lotion, and wasn't a cruel trick by my wife. And if it was, she's not too bright because she put it on less than I did and got a worse sunburn than I did.

I banged out sick tonight. I tried putting on my vest but no way that was happening.

Yeah all the nurses and doctors I know have told me you need a really high SPF to be really effective. I used 15 spf in Florida and burned to a crisp. I think you need like 35+. Sunburns suck. ;)

I have to wear a uniform and ride a bike up and down the beachfront 8 hours a day for 5-6 days a week for my job, sun screen is my best friend. Banana Boat SPF 50 is my weapon of choice :p

What's worse than the vest is trying to put on a parachute. My first year at Bragg, my stupid Yankee rump went to Myrtle Beach; I received one hellatious sunburn and had to jump a few days later. :eek: Oh that was not fun.

However I've never heard of anyone burning the backs of their knees.:D

If you want to torture me, leave me in the sun with no sunscreen. I HATE sunburns. I'm like a bear with a sore *** when I get one too, just ask my wife.

Seriously though be careful with the sun. Media hypes it up but it's no joke.

Don't feel bad I've sunburned the back of my knees too. To much Isish if I even think about going to the beach I get burned.

I laugh because I did it once about two years ago now.

I burned the top of my head while fishing after my hair was shaved pretty much all off and that was REALLY bad too.
