I beg to differ that if the person was white it wouldnt be in the news. I believe anytime there is a police (I dont want to say beating) but an alleged excessive force and it ends in a death, that it will be in the mainstream news.
However, I do believe african americans are held to a different standard in politics and life in general. Yes, sometimes they may get trteated unfairly and this and that. But they are also able to do some things that whites for instance cant. Imagine a black comedian doing stand-up about race (GEE happens all the time...doggin whites and what not, all in good fun, I even think its funny). Now picture a WHITE comedian doing the same thing, making fun of blacks. Not a good story there. Wouldnt happen...
Colleges & Universities....they have BLACK GREEK COUNCIL's, and black Fraternities. What would happen if students wanted to create a WHITE FRATERNITY only. Think about it.

It may be in the news, but not nearly the amount of time this case is getting.

We had an incident here and the video never went national.......noone cared it was just white on white. The only time the national media keyed in was when the aclu claimed it was due to national origin and that was after the inquest.

I believe there was a black officer involved...too bad he wasn't on the screen. And did the aunt NOT see his clotheline the officer? If the cops didn't do anything, he would have manhandled them.
