I'm about to pee myself too!
Well thats nice:rolleyes: :D . It took a lot of balls for President Bush to fly into a war zone to see his troops.

I see it as nothing more than a publicity stunt for his re-election campaign. I won't be voting for him again.

This is just one more reason why I'll be voting to re-elect him next year.

*edit* Gah...I guess the thumbs up smiley didnt work out as I wanted it to...
Yeah, well if the soldiers can't be with their familes on Thanksgiving, I think its nice that Bush wasn't either. He also served them their food. Good for him.
So, how could he have gone to Iraq and not have it seem like a 'publicity stunt'? One minute he's uncaring and sending soliers to their deaths and when he goes to a war zone to see them, then he's just doing it for publicity. Damed if ya do, damed if ya don't.
I just saw the video this morning. That was awesome! The guy asked for someone senior to come out, and Bush walks out. What a great feeling that would have been for the troops. I would vote for Bush in 2004 as well, but you know, this Canadian citizenry is kind of stopping that plan.

Hey if you go apply the across the border citizenship now, you might be able to get it before the election. :p
It was a nice photo op for Bush. Much like the photo op on the aircraft carrier. We need a a real leader in the Whitehouse and not a legacy President. Draft McCain for 04!
Yea me too, I know there are other illegal immigrants that vote so why not us?;)Originally posted by metallicat

And we do, which is more than I can say for the prior one.
I obviously disagree but I do not think we will be changing each others mind. To me Bush is simply a legacy President who has done a marginal job. If it were not for his kin, he would simply be another defunct oil man from Texas. McCain is a true American hero who stood tall when asked to serve his country and has also served it well as a Senator. He will always have my vote.Originally posted by DC Law
Liberals are like that, Orleander. They want it both ways.
President Bush is a class act, period. He's done a fantastic job and his next term in office will probably be a good one too.
As for McCain, he's got about as much career future as Michael Jackson's plastic surgeon. Nobody likes a turncoat and would-be spoiler. He'd do well to just formally switch to the Democratic Party, but they'd never trust him fully either.
