Micro SD Phone Card help

I just picked me up one of them ScanDisk MicroSD card for my phone. Well I have some pictures, from my computer, and Verizons Pic Place from my old phone and other things I want to send it. But when I try to cop paste or send to I get this


The picture is named 1

"Cannot Copy 1: The disk is write protected. Remove the write-protection or use another disk"


Any solutions?

What model? What size? Some models have a write protection tab that must be removed. Some cards might not be compatible with your phone. You may have to format it.

Its compatiable, the guy at Verizon got it for me. I can pull pictures from my phone-card then put it on my desktop.


How do you pull the write protection thing off? I have the LG 8350 for now...I'd like to get the Voyager but thats not important

I have a PNY card and I'll assume it's the same. You place the micro SD card into a regualr SD card and use a reader I assume. On the side of the SD card look for a small switch. Mine has the word "lock" on it. Unlock it and it should let you write. If not then got to SanDisk's site and get the latest driver for your card or reader.

Nevermind, I think I got it, theres a slide thing on the card, it was locked and i unreleased it, and now it works

Some phones require your ringtones to be in a specific directory. Mine (the AT&T Tilt) requires them to be in the Windows/Ringtone directory on the phone, so I cannot just load the card up and use them. What I do is edit out the part of the song I want and then save them at a lower freq (quality needs not be so high for a ringtone) in the necessary directory.

Alright thanks, thats what I thought. I did load music on my phone but can't move it. However, I did create my own for free (also there are others people uploaded) here-

There is premium content, but not sure what it is, and don't use it. Just download a song then upload it ;) you can even pick what part and how long of a song through the edit function
