the roo got skills
I love the way that roo just sucker punches that woman.
I've seen roos fight numerous times, and it is something awesome to watch. You can hear them hitting each other from miles away.
They are a pretty cool animal.
George,
Is it something that kangaroo's are trained to do, or do that just do it naturally?

Naturally.
That is how they fight in the wild.
They don't have very good front arms as you can see, and their mouths are built for chewing grasses, although they can pack quite a bite, trust me.
their strong point is leaning back on those incredibly strong tails, and kicking with their also incredibly strong legs. Those feet have huge claws on them that can cut you open real bad, real quick.
There are very few natural predators in Oz. Most of our animals are vegetarians.
Only humans and dingoes really pose a threat to roos.
Dingoes obviously can cause them dramas. One of their big defences against dingoes is grabbing them by the neck with their front arms and ripping them apart with their back legs. Or running into water. The dingo follows and the roo holds them down and drowns them.
One of my brother's dogs once went at a roo. The roo grabbed her by the throat and bit her ear off. Was in the process of trying to gore her when my brother ran in and grabbed it's tail and started kicking at the roo to let go of his dog. The big buck threw the dog away and went my brother. I had to step in with a big rock.
In the end we all considered it a draw. My brother had a few scratches and big bite mark on his shoulder, but wasn't gored. The roo had a blood nose from where I hit him with the rock to make him let go of Paul. I was unharmed. The roo stood there abot ten feet from us, bloody nose and all, and just grunted at us. He wasn't afraid and he wasn't backing down. We just walked back to our motorbikes and got the hell out of there.
Shiela (the dog) however didn't feel too well and never liked roos that much after that.

WOW! Those videos were something else! I'll make sure if I ever visit Oz, I'll stay out of their way.
BTW, great story you told, George. Glad everyone walked away alive.
