I think the husband killed Lacy (but I really really don't want to believe it.)
I think Kobe assaulted the girl. I know a lot of people think she is after his money. It makes more sense to me that she would have blackmailed him for the money, than do this.

Actually, I don't think lacy's husband killed her.

I'm thinking that he was trying to pull some slick stuff with a kidnapping plot so he could get some money out of it and she ended up dead.

That does of course mean that he is still responsible, but I don't think he killed her directly.

    As for Kobe...
I think his accusor went to his hotel room with some romantic notion of what was going to happen up there, but instead of having a romantic interlude she could tell her friends about (It's called "Star F***ing"), Kobe was rough with her, bent her over a chair and treated her like a F**k Toy, so she cried rape.

For me the most damning thing that came out of the preliminary hearing was how the cop asked her why she didn't say "no", presumably because he was looking for signs he intimidated her into sex.
She was silent, but then in the NEXT interview she added to her story and claimed she said no twice.

I just like to think he didn't kill her, than cut out his son and strangle him. But if it was kidnapping, why cut the baby out? (or do they think the baby wasn't)

And your Kobe scenario...well, that is one I can believe. I've seen it happen on college campus. I don't want her to be a vindictive liar beause it does a diservice to rape victims and their families, but I also don't want Kobe to be a rapist.

And if I was Kobe's wife I would have been long gone. Not because he cheated, but because it was so public. I think some marriages can survive infidelity, but public humiliation? Not me.

I haven't heard enough about the petersen case to know if the baby was forcibly removed... I thought the baby was still inside her until her body decayed.

With kobe - her blood on his shirt is damning, otherwise it's just he-said-she-said. I think it's undefair that her sexual history cannot be mentioned in court even if he very recent sexual history could explain the prosecution's evidence and prove his innocence. I don't believe the sexual history exlusion is designed to do that - it's jsut supposed to stop the victim from being 'blamed for her lifestyle' by suggesting her promiscuity is why she had sex - but in this case the defence is claiming that her lifestyle is the direct reason that the physical evidence exists. (bruising etc)
