What not to do after robbing a bank

    September 19, 2003
Bank Robber Returns to Deposit Stolen Money
A man received a sentence of 33-years-to-life in prison for bank robbery after being caught depositing part of the stolen cash at the same bank hours later.

Jesse Leonard Youngblood, 36, was sentenced under the three strikes law for robbing the Bank of America branch in Oroville, Calif.

According to District Attorney Mike Ramsey, it was learned that Youngblood, who was a customer at the bank, returned later that day to deposit 10 percent of the stolen money in his personal account using the ATM machine.

Although security cameras only caught an obscured view of the robber’s face, tellers believed it was Youngblood. He also owned a car that matched the description of the getaway vehicle and was on parole for a prior bank robbery. The man’s ATM transaction aroused further suspicion because, tellers told police, he usually deposited his money by walking into the bank.

Also, after robbing a bank, don't walk 1/2 block down the street to wait for the bus. :D

Or write the robbery note on the back of your temporary ID and leave it there.
