Anyone watch tonight? Spoilers if not.




What happened at the end? Who shot Alex? And why, if she was actually alive after being shot, didn't the two detectives she was with know she was still alive? At the end of the show, she was wearing a sling, so it appears that she actually was shot. Also, if it was the DEA that shot her to stage a murder, wouldn't the drug lord know that it was likely staged, and now still want her dead?

Can anyone shed some light on this?

I've never seen the show (any of the 30 spinoffs, either), but I read a blurb in the paper yesterday saying it was going to be a good ending for that chick...
They didn't say what was going to happen though.

Alex was killed in a drive by....set up by the DEA....it was made to appear she was slain in the shooting...but in the end she was carted off into the witness protection program...saying goodbye at the end.

She's not returning to the show and is going to be on CSI Miami starting this winter or something.

Ok, thanks. But how did the detectives not know she was still alive after she had gotten shot? And the only one that wanted to kill her would be that drug guy, and he wouldn't be getting charged for this murder...but I guess that wouldn't matter.

Maybe I am looking into this too much.

At the end of the show, they got a call from that fat DEA guy saying they needed to meet to close out the case....when they arrived at this "meeting place" Alex was there w/ armed security in one of the vehicles. She got to say goodbye to them and explain what was going on.

Zappata (the drug lord who hated her) was killed in a holding cell after he was arrested in court. It was HIS boss who ordered his hit...i can't remember his name. Because of the info Alex had about the big boss, it is believed she was a target too.

Thanks Kris. I forgot about them saying the guy was found dead in his cell. Its all starting to make more sense now.

I hope they get another cute DA to replace her. Those LAw and Order shows go through cute DA's super fast.

Criminal Intent seems to keep the dude hanging aroung. Get a cute girl in there, keep me watching.

Now I'll have to start watching CSI Miami!

That is my fave show but ever since they switched it to Tuesday nights or whatever I haven't seen it this year!

I LOVE Law & Order CI - that is a COOL show.

Alex is gone!??????? oh man, I liked her. I was hoping Ice-T would leave the show - man is he a terrible actor!

I was actually laughing at ICE-T when the show was on. He is such a goof. And isn't he one of those "gangsta" rappers that hates the police? And he plays one on TV...hilarious.

This song came out originally on Body Count (1992), an album by a rap & heavy metal band of that name which Ice-T had been fronting. They had been playing a version of it in concert for a year, including as part of the 1991 Lollapalooza tour. The recorded version includes references to Rodney King, a black motorist whose beating by LAPD officers had been caught on videotape. Shortly after the record came out, a suburban jury acquitted the officers and riots broke out in South Central LA. Soon after that outbreak, a Dallas police group called for a boycott of the Ice-T record. Said Ice-T, who actually played a cop in the 1991 movie New Jack City, "I'm singing in the first person as a character who is fed up with police brutality. I ain't never killed no cop. I felt like it a lot of times. But I never did it." Soon, however, the offending song was removed from the record, and the next year, Warner Brothers dropped both the band and Ice-T as a solo artist.
