Wouldn't be ironic if they knocked him off the show with a gangster drive-by?

BTW, this monday on Third Watch is supposed to be the police against a gangster.

Why I don't agree with his cop killer lyrics, I think Ice-T is a pretty talented individual.

There have been lots of actors that haven't exactly been pro-police. (or have violated lots of laws).

I saw the biography on Ice-T. Interesting man. An army veteran, rapper, theif, actor, and pimp all rolled into one. Only in America!

Ice-T actually did some work for fundraising for the NLEOMF and has apologized for past stunts, songs, etc. He gave an excellent biographical interview on VH-1 not long ago. On the show they showed him working w/ the Boys and Girls clubs, even visiting juvenile offenders/gangstas to try and get them to see straight. He has done a great deal in CA regarding a new database they are designing to warn LE on traffic stops, etc of possible gang members, felons in the vehicle they have stopped who have made direct threats to law enforcement.

I think he is great on the show. He's rough but has an intensity I like. He's changed a great deal and is actually very pro-police now.

VERY good to hear.

I've heard of the California database called "CALGANGS".

I rode with the LASO gang team for a night. They were filling out cards for that database all night.

It takes an act of God to get someone flagged a gang member in our computer system in Portland. Someone who was a former gang member sued because he was flagged and all names in the system were flushed.

It now pretty much takes an admission by a gang member that he is one to get flagged. Gang members learned this here and no longer admit it to officers like they use to.

He said in studying his role he had become close to several members of law enforcement, but even prior to that his views had changed and he came out and said in his own words he was "STUPID". I'm trying to find the link for the article i read about him and the NLEOMF. I'll post it when i do.

I hate gang bangers and support any effort by LE to flush them out and take them down. Zero tolerance -

(I am lucky, Fremont only has minor gangs - usually punks who like to spray paint - they caught a few gang bangers doing that and sentenced them to 5 years of bigger buttholes)

You could make an argument that gangs are urban-domestic terrorists.

It's a stretch, but they kill innocent people and traffic in weapons and narcotics.
