I am happily married with three beautiful children. They are so precious we want more! The only concern we have with having more kids is we heard that one in every five children born in the world is Chinese. :eek:

I have been married to my best friend since 1977. I first met her when I was in the Air Force at some of the after hours social functions. No real interest at first, but a strong friendship slowly grew as we talked about all sorts of subjects and were not playing the "I have to impress" game.

I found myself thinking about her all the time and looking forward to each meeting. Kept my mouth shut about it though, because I did not want to ruin the friendship. To my surprise, I soon learned she felt the same way. (I will always be thankful for her friend who whispered in my ear.)

Still happily together, with three wonderfully intelligent and successful children.

She put up with the strange hours, working holidays and missing family functions. Something a lot of cops wives won't do.

My advice has always been, "You gotta be friends before you can be lovers to make it last."

Amen to that!! My beau was my best friend for almost 3 years before it turned into romance. It is so much FUN to be silly and goofy and know that he appreciates it. Besides, it is nice to be able to have a good deep conversation about anything in the world.

Married, got two beautiful boys. Sometimes we are happy with each other but we tend to not get along as well when he's on the midnight shift. But I hate to say it without him being here-I wouldn't trade him for anybody else-why have two when one is hard enough to put up with hehe.
