I'm wondering what everyone does when they are stressed out. I want to sleep but I am too hyper. I sleep 6.5 hours everyday. I jump up at 4:45 in the morning and I am on the go. Come home, work out, do the normal household thingies (cook, wash clothes, iron, etc) and by 10pm everynight, I'm ready to drop.
Today, I was so stressed at work, I had to run around the block a few times to calm down.
Anyone got any good stress relieving tactics that work?

Working out at a gym worked for me. That is, after I learned that alcohol lobotomies were a bad idea.

I also work out to relieve stress however sometimes jogging, weightlifting, or whatever you do to work out, is sometimes not enough. Even when I listen to music, I can still be stressed out after a hard workout. Joining a team sport can really take your mind off of stuff and at least let you focus on something other than what is going on in your life at the moment. Even if you have never played a sport growing up there are plenty of them out there, you just have to look. I play ice hockey in an adult league and they have all sorts of levels and age groups, from a coed league for people who have never had a pair of skates on in their life, to an over 50 league.

Actually, I'm a lousy person to give advice. It turns out I didn't handle it well at all.... I even tried changing wives periodically and that didn't work either! :(

At home, I usually go up in my room and read or call my best friend, Pam. At work, I get up from desk and walk into the break room to get away from whatever is stressing me out. If that doesn't help and chest pains have already started, I take an Ativan. That's what I did today after management fired a good friend of mine. Bastards.
