MSP Motor Carrier Job

Well I just got word on the Motor Carrier Job opening. I talked to some buddies that work in MCD of MSP and they had some very very discouraging news for me.

Apparently they are hiring 200-300 hundred MCO'S this year to beef up their ranks. The down fall is that they are not going to run a MCO academy, instead they are going to train the new MCO's on the job and let them go out on their own but they won't be employed very long.

They will work at most a year then will be let go along with all the other MCO'S that are currently employed with MSP MCD reguardless of years of service. Since they are not state certified the Gov said "no MCO will be put into the academy or not given the 3 required classes to become a certified officer, they simply have to find other employment." Now our Gov is Canadian (No offiense to our Northern Neighbors) but she has been the only strong point for why trash is comming into the US from Canada to be dumped in Michigan and NY. She also said that all Troopers will be sent to Motor Carrier School in Lansing to be crossed trained as such so they can do the job. Well blonde ***** we have a problem with that. See our troops don't have enough time to **** with the Rigs at most of out posts take the Detroit Freeway #29 Post. They are now 65 troopers short of normal operating status and with a mandatory no regular non funded OT policy the Gov put in place they are struggling to stay ahead. The #29 post tows on average 12,000 cars off Detroit freeways and state roads in the city each year, they make 4,000 DWI arrests each year and yeild some 660,000 tickets a year along with 3,000 narcotics arrests. They managed so far to keep the stats at a average even short handed. They went from 8 hr shifts to 10 hr a day then they must work 1 day ever pay (2 weeks) for $0 (free) and it is a mandatory show up and work day. No show or call in you get wrote up.

The troops want nothing to do with the Motor Carrier Job at all, and refuse to enforce any MC reg unless they view it as a dangerous situation. MSP is also looking at layoffs of up to 100 troopers thanks to the *****'s take money from the MSP to give to Corrections Department. The same F'ing stunt that cause me to not be able to attend the State Police academy in July 2000 under our old Fat Body Gov Engler.

Run down in short:

-MSP short almost 500 troopers

-MCD will be done away with on Jan 1 2006 and maybe sooner.

-All MCO'S lose their job and will not me given a chance to be certified and make a cross over to be a troop.

-All troops will have to work the MCO jobs while pulling their own job at same time.

-Possible layoffs of 100 troopers

The next date for a possible State Police Academy is at minuminum 3 years, no less then 3 years.

I am soooooooooooooooo Pissed about this news. She is choking the life out of the department and the troops are getting worried that the department will fold up.

Also the next Gov election a Sheriff from Oakland Co who is very anti State Police is going to run. He has made it clearly known that once he is governor the State Police will be Finished for good.

BTW for DC and NORM guess what Political part our current ***** Governor is?

No SP academy for 3 years? When you're 500 short and 100 possible layoffs? Sounds like there's way too many chiefs in the kitchen. I would think the predictable failout from that will demand a recourse.

You are not the only one...Hell she punishes me with higher taxes. She even bothered to give me a half *** response to a letter I wrote her concerning her campain and the 2nd Amendment. There is a 4 letter word for women like her...I will be nice though.

I know how ya feel Jynkxxie. I know all to well. I actually met the Gov when she came to my school this year. She shook my hand and said Nice to meet you. I said, "nice for you but not for me." She asked why do you feel that way?. I told her I hate what she is doing to LE across the state and specificaly the State Police. I told her you need to stop the crap and give them what they need or the state will fold up and NO ONE will be on the freeways and roads in a lot of counties like the UP. (No raod patrol in a lot of U.P. counties.)

She didn't like that but I got winks and thumbs up from her MSP Protection Detail. :p
