We are considering adding a natural gas ( decorative) stove in our living room and a gas fireplace insert in our basement rec room.
Any comments on brands , types or things I should know ?
( We are not interested in burning wood , no LP , it will be supplemental to the main gas furnace)

I can't say for a brand, but when we had this house built in 1998, we had them put in gas logs and we love it. With a blower, they put out a lot of heat and will easily overheat the room. Leave the blower off and it's mostly decorative.

I've got what appears to be a pot bellied stove in my front room, but it runs on gas. Its pretty neat, has the stove pipe running up to the wall and everything.
Problem is when I turn it on I can't get near it. My two dogs will be lying in front of it practically before I get it warmed up.Pittsburgh Pirates- 1st place NL Central 7/15/11
