Question Finish Associates and become cop, or work on bachelors and be a cadet?

Hello all, I need some advise.
I am debating on whether I should

    1. Finish my Associates in CMJ and become a cop asap getting paid 20.00/hr and working towards my promotions quicker (have more experience), and work on my bachelors on my free time. (please do not mention anything about me not being to handle it, stress is nothing to me)

    OR

    2. Finish my Associates in CMJ and become a member of the NYPD cadet corps and get paid 14.00/hr and receive its benefits such as promotion to police officer, $20,000 in tuition assistance, etc) and work on my bachelors.

I am having a hard time making either decision.. I need some pros and cons of each.

I cannot be in the Cadet corps now as I am not in a four year college. I am in a community college.

    Many thanks!

Please do not come into our house without so much as an introduction in the New Member Introductions forum and assume to tell us how to answer questions. If you put your question out there, you must be open to let people answer it as they will, otherwise it's worthless to put your question out there. And you may THINK stress is nothing to you, but I guarantee, you've never been through stress like many of the Verified LEO's here have, since you have yet to do this job.

I dont think its mandatory to "introduce" myself.
I'm just a new member looking for advice anyone is willing to give.
Again, I dont care about stress.

    Thanks.

So, you're quoting the rules to me now? Well, I'll give it to you, it's not "mandatory," but this is OUR HOUSE and you're new here, and we usually PREFER to have our new members introduce themselves. How would you feel if you were having a party, and it was open to new people, but there were a lot of people who already knew each other there, and the new guy comes in and starts off just asking questions and on top of it, TELLS YOU HOW TO RESPOND?

Yeah, that's how we feel when you do it to us.

Just asking you to be a bit more polite, but if you can't or won't, don't expect it (and definitely don't DEMAND it) in return.

    And, with that, you're done.

    Bye bye, thread closed.
