45 credits to begin process?

When the APD is submitted and 60 before you are finished processing.

if i dont think i can get my gpa up in time when the process starts should i bother submitting the apd-5? or will it work for the next class after summer 2012?

Well if they request your APD-5 and supporting docs and you don't meet the criteria, they stop processing you.
