    Post suspended

I want to be a police officer but I was suspended for three days for threatening a girl, will that be a problem in becoming an officer?

I think it would be something to look at, but probably not an auto-dq. Whether it hurts you badly would be dependent on the individual situation as explained to the agency you are applying to at the time. I know some schools have adopted 'no tolerance' policies that end up being severely heavy-handed. I also know there are some people punished that deserve it and should not be in LE. Can't know which category you're in just by guessing.

On the BI application I've seen there was a portion for suspensions, etc... just declare it and be prepared to talk about it.

As a recent high-school graduate & a college freshman myself... I can DEFINITELY attest to that.

Unfortunately, school systems can and more-often-than not will push a relatively minor issue. Word something incorrectly to someone who is a teeny bit uppity... and you have a problem on your hands.

Been there, done that, got three or four T-shirts along the way.

Was it put on your record?
Four noisy cylinders don't have the soul of eight cylinders playing the tune that my right foot orchestrates.
