Another New Guy

Hello everyone, I've posted 6 posts already and haven't stop by here to introduce myself. I apologize!
I'm from Dallas/Fort Worth area in Texas, 24 years old, newly married, clean record (really!), finish college with a bachelor degree in CJ, trying to get my foot inside the door as a LEO. That's the only career I want to have, and I will not stop trying until my screen name says "verified LEO" next to it. Thanks all! I hope to learn a lot here and be a good member of this forum!

If you are looking for inspiration to become a cop, look up posts from a member here called Nikon. Haven't seen him around for a while but heard he was busy at last call.

He wanted to be a cop real bad. He was massively over weight. Obese. He worked his a$$ off - SERIOUSLY!!! There are before and after photos somewhere, and his story of how he got in is an inspiration to anyone wanting to get into LE!

I recall he had to do his run (for an entry physical test) in the snow with a patrol car following him. That just seemed to top off what was already a massive job of getting in to LE.

I will try and find it and post it again.

Thanks for the warm welcome guys. To answer your question, Aussie George, I wanted to become a LEO since I was little. When I was little, the police uniform and the images police arresting "bad guys" amazed me. When I grow up and get to learn more about law enforcement, from the idea of enforcing the law to the idea of helping innocent people and give back to community, it make me want to become a cop even more. LEO is one of the most meaningful career in my book. I'm now a troupe leader in a Youth Association. I want to make those kids proud of their leader and be a good role model who they can look up to.
As I said in other posts, I've failed some, passed some, and have gone to a further process with one department. I'm just hanging in there tide and play the waiting game! I've been to a few ride along and I loved it. Can't wait to sit in that police car and answer calls! I will definately keep you guys posted and hopefully share you guys a good news soon!
