A moment to introduce myself

Hello, everyone!

I'm a hospital pharmacist, not a police officer, but my father was a St. Louis city cop for nearly 30 years. Growing up in St. Louis County, many of our neighbors were policemen, including both next-door neighbors. Unsurprisingly, I'm strongly pro-police. Dad passed away in 2006, and since I no longer have him to turn to for police-related questions and advice, I'm looking for a replacement. Hopefully I've found that here.

I'm also a fiction writer. Many of my novels and short stories feature protagonists who are law officers or ex-LEO. I'd like to ask some questions here, get the information I need, and maybe make a few friends. I'll try not to ask stupid or repetitive questions, but please bear with me if I do. Hey, I mean well!

My son (age 28) and I play together on an HNA ice hockey team, and my other passion is blues guitar (hence the Bluespower handle).
