    Hello

Hi Everyone, my name is Zack. I am here because I may pursue a career in law enforcement and because I have many questions about law enforcement that I would like o have answered by people who will take my questions seriously and provide mature and honest responses to said questions. Thank you to everyone who spends time answering questions here on this forum and or course to those who serve and protect our communities (as cliche as it sounds, I really do mean it)

Welcome. Not a LEO but I'd bet you could find officer involved shootings w/ similar scenarios to your question with all possible outcomes (justified, not justified, criminal - all with same basic scenario). Even if the applicable standards are the same, I'd bet prosecutors vary, officer articulation will vary, witness statements can vary, use of force policy can vary, racial makeup of shooter/deceased can vary, laws can vary, gender differences, size differences, etc, etc. In short, it's probably going to be a vague, judgmental call amped up with adrenalin and tempered with training and second guessed by the media, prosecutors, IA, etc.
